Oh well, my only reason for watching the American Idol is gone. My ears are fine and I know that the little dude can't sing. But you have to agree, he did spice things up! One of my favourite past time became searching youtube for new stuff about him. Its just hilarious. "What the Buck", gives a pretty hilarious feedback on Idol, especially sanjaya. check it out if you get some time.

ReplyDeleteOh God! I guess I take my American Idol too seriously but that dude was hardly as funny as William Hung to credit his treatment as some sort of novelty-celebrity. To be honest, it's not that he can't sing (if that was the case it might have been more entertaining and more embarrassing for the judges). His timing is ok for some songs (like Steppin' Out) but he sings in only one register, one tone and continues to drone in that way like some annoying sissy bee.

But its not him that I find funny, its the media surroundging him. Like the gay dude who presents 'what the buck', or the never ending talk shows, and yeah don't forget the anti idol sites and the anti sanjaya sites.
Some people can't stand it that he is not typical american.
I guess what I am trying to say is william hung was a once is a lifetime kinda thing. But Sanjaya is a fever. And he is currently the number 4 most famous person in America. Not bad for a 17 year old, half indian american dude.
